Are you ready to be at the forefront of cutting-edge projects in the maritime and defense industry? At dotOcean, we're redefining the future of autonomous water vessels, data-centric architectures, and multi-agent algorithms. As an R&D Project Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in leading innovative projects from conception to completion. We're looking for a hands-on engineer with a passion for technology and the motivation to drive projects forward.
Lead and manage projects within the R&D team, overseeing the entire lifecycle from design to prototype and testing.
Take ownership of key initiatives such as autonomous water vessels, data-centric architectures, and multi-agent algorithms.
Work independently and efficiently to manage your team, ensuring alignment with consortium plans and project goals.
Propose and implement technical solutions that keep projects on track within time and budget constraints.
Utilize your programming skills to contribute to the technical aspects of the projects, ensuring effective implementation of solutions.
Engage and motivate stakeholders and team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
Report directly to the R&D manager and be a driving force behind innovation and project success.
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in project management or engineering roles, preferably in the maritime, defense, or technology sectors.
Basic programming skills are required (preferably in Python, C++, or Java). Your technical background will be vital in guiding your team and making informed decisions.
Ability to work independently and lead your team with minimal supervision.
Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
Thrive under deadlines and demonstrate the motivation and drive to see projects through to completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams.
Detail-oriented, able to maintain composure in stressful situations, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
