dotOcean, based in Brugge with hubs in Gent and Leuven, Belgium, is a leader in pioneering autonomous control and advanced situational awareness technology for the maritime, security and civil industry.
dotOcean is looking for a hands-on Project & Product Lead who combines technical understanding, project coordination and commercial awareness.
In this role, you will primarily take ownership of VISOR, our maritime situational awareness platform combining onboard vision systems, edge computing and cloud connectivity. You will help shape the product roadmap, coordinate delivery and align teams around clear priorities and milestones.
In addition to VISOR, you will also support and coordinate strategic customer and innovation projects within dotOcean as a Project Manager with a strong commercial & Tecnhnical mindset.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a Product Manager, Technical Project Manager, Product Owner or Technical Lead.
Help define and maintain the VISOR roadmap
Translate customer and market needs into product priorities
Coordinate features, milestones, and releases
Align engineering, sales, marketing, and operations around product goals
Help shape the long-term direction and positioning of VISOR
Coordinate technical and commercial projects across different teams
Monitor timelines, priorities and deliverables
Organize follow-ups and ensure clear communication between stakeholders
Work closely with customers and partners to gather feedback and requirements
Support commercial discussions by understanding both customer needs and technical possibilities
Help ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives

dotOcean works in a flexible matrix environment where collaboration and initiative are key.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, IT, business, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
(Project Manager, Product Manager, Technical PM, or equivalent)
Experience in a technical or software-driven environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Commercial awareness and customer-oriented mindset
Able to coordinate projects across multiple stakeholders
Technical affinity is important:
You understand how software products and technical systems work
You can communicate effectively with engineers and technical teams
Experience with edge/cloud environments, sensor systems or operational technology is a plus
Experience or affinity with maritime, defense or situational awareness environments is considered an advantage.
